Therapeutic, Sensory & Wellbeing Access Support
Supporting access to therapeutic, sensory and wellbeing opportunities led by appropriate professionals and providers.
What Is Therapeutic, Sensory & Wellbeing Access Support?
TishAbility supports access to therapeutic, sensory and wellbeing activities where these are led by appropriate professionals or providers. Our role is to support preparation, transitions, participation, communication, confidence, routines and access. We help people engage meaningfully in therapeutic and wellbeing opportunities, and support agreed recommendations to become practical in everyday life.
We recognise that wellbeing involves relaxation, regulation, emotional expression, sensory comfort, enjoyment, connection and a good quality of life. Support is tailored to individual preferences, sensory needs and identified outcomes.
Types of Access Support We Offer
Access support may include preparation and transition support before attending wellbeing or therapeutic activities, communication support during activities, sensory-aware planning and environmental adjustments, supporting routines recommended by appropriate professionals, helping the person access creative, nature-based, sensory or wellbeing opportunities, and supporting safe participation and return from the activity.
